Researcher Boye is an archaeologist that can be found in the Face of the Ancients in the Enmerkar Forest.

Upon talking to him, he will give the player the Red Idol quest, offering 300 
for the Scarlet Lich's Idol.
Note that the player can alternatively use this Idol for the Red Lady's Dagger, which sells for more than the price he rewards.
Trivia[]
- If you give him the Scarlet Lich's Idol, he says "I know a woman who'll pay really well for an artifact like this!", possibly referring to Helen Turnbull (another member of the Academy who is interested in valuable artifacts)
