Inn Dialogue[ | ]

(#0) Shocked Customer: You're serious? The youngest prince of Levant, murdered? (→ #1)

(#1) Nosy Customer: The Queen found Prince Jaden dead in a chair in his room, strangled from behind by a leather strap. Levant is in a complete uproar over the assassination! (→ #2)

(#2) Shocked Customer: Who killed him? Has anyone claimed responsibility? (→ #3)

(#3) Nosy Customer: No one. But they did see a priest of Elatt fleeing the palace and into the desert around the time the prince was killed. That's their prime suspect at this point. (→ #4)

(#4) Shocked Customer: A priest from the Holy Mission? Murdering a prince? That doesn't seem right. The Holy Mission is politically neutral, all they care about is protecting Aurai from the Scourge! (→ #5)

(#5) Nosy Customer: True. This brings to mind two possibilities. Either the real killer wants to frame the Holy Mission, or the Royal Family of Levant is trying to bargain with the Scourge. (→ #6)

(#6) Shocked Customer: Elatt's breath, I can only hope it's the former. Hopefully the truth will come out when they find that fleeing priest. (→ #7)

(#7) Nosy Customer: I doubt they'll find him. Abrassar desert is huge, and no matter how much Elatt favors you, if you don't find water out there within a few days, you're going to drop dead. (→ end)

Final Confrontation[ | ]

(#0) Cyrene: I’m afraid I’m quite busy, perhaps some other time. (→ end)

(#1) Cyrene: Alright, we’ve blocked off the other exits. Let’s split up and take this area cleanly. Keep your eyes peeled for the Prince Pietro, and the Baron. We don’t want either of them to risk slipping through our fingers. (→ end)

(#2) Cyrene: You have something about the murder of Prince Jaden? Don’t just stand there, spill it! (→ #3)

(#3) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: I’ve found some evidence about the plot, I think you’ll want to see this. (→ #4)
  • 1: Sorry, I don’t have anything you don’t already know. (→ end)

(#4) Cyrene: This is... I can’t avoid this conclusion any longer. The way this lines up with my own investigation... Prince Pietro, what in Elatt’s name were you thinking? (→ #5)

(#5) Cyrene: Based on what we’ve found, it seems like Prince Pietro has been plotting a coup against King Simeon and Queen Calixa, and that he masterminded the attack on Berg as well. (→ #6)

(#6) Cyrene: Not to mention he’s been making use of that damned smuggler’s tunnel under the slums that Baron Montgomery got built. (→ #7)

(#7) Cyrene: We need to move on the pair of them. I have a squadron of troops ready to go, but I could use the extra help. Are you ready to go now? (→ #8)

(#8) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: Yes, I’m ready to come along, where are we going? (→ #9)
  • 1: No thanks. I think I’ll let you handle this, Cyrene. (→ #10)

(#9) Cyrene: We’re going to flush them out of that smuggler’s tunnel. You and I will go in from the Baron’s manor, I’ll have Yzan hold down the Palace side entrance, and my troops will cover the slums exit and the desert exit. Come on, let’s roll. (→ end)

(#10) Cyrene: Very well. Yzan and I will handle this on our own, then. Come back if you change your mind, and maybe we’ll still have some way for you to help. (→ end)

(#11) Cyrene: Hmm... I appreciate the evidence you have, but there’s not enough for me to move on this. I’m doing my own investigation and not everything lines up yet. If you find some more, please report back to me immediately. (→ end)

(#12) Prince Pietro: I won’t resist, I’m not stupid. Take me in, Cyrene. (→ #13)

(#13) Cyrene: Gladly. For the record, I’m sorry it turned out this way Pietro. You’re not who I thought you were. As for you, [PlayerName], good work. (→ #14)

(#14) Cyrene: My men will take Pietro into custody, [PlayerName]. The Heroic Kingdom is in your debt. I will personally report your impact to King Simeon himself, and see to it that he rewards you adequately. (→ #15)

(#15) Cyrene: You also killed Baron Montgomery, I hear. I won’t ask for the details. As far as I’m concerned, the number of corpses in that torture room more than merits his death. I’ll report you killing him as self-defense and leave it at that. Good work. (→ end)

(#16) Cyrene: My men tell me we’ve caught Baron Montgomery. He tried to make a quick getaway into the slums for supplies before fleeing Levant and basically ran right into our arms. We’ll see to it that he gets what he deserves. (→ #17)

(#17) Cyrene: My men will take Pietro into custody, [PlayerName]. The Heroic Kingdom is in your debt. I will personally report your impact to King Simeon himself, and see to it that he rewards you adequately. (→ end)

(#18) Cyrene: My men will take Pietro into custody, [PlayerName]. The Heroic Kingdom is in your debt. I will personally report your impact to King Simeon himself, and see to it that he rewards you adequately. (→ end)

(#19) Prince Pietro: Alright, you both have me. I know when I'm beaten. I'll surrender. (→ #20)

(#20) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: Just like that? (→ #21)

(#21) Prince Pietro: Do I look like I can stand a chance against the two of you, cornered down here by the army? I have a far better chance of survival if I throw myself on the mercy of my parents, even if I was planning to kill them both. (→ #22)

(#22) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: Why would you do this? (→ #23)
  • 1: If you want to live, I hope you're willing to rat out your followers. (→ #28)
  • 2: You're going to come with me and not make a fuss, you hear me? (→ #12)

(#23) Prince Pietro: My parents have grown soft. Old Levant is an existential threat to us, and still they want to welcome their people to join us! And they still treat the Blue Chamber Collective like equals! We were not elected by simple humans, we were anointed kings and queens by a GOD! (→ #24)

(#24) Prince Pietro: My brother was too nosy, he would have found out about my plot to kill Calixa and Simeon eventually. And I needed to be secure in the knowledge that I would be the only true heir to Levant's throne. It was nothing personal. (→ #25)

(#25) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: If you want to live, I hope you're willing to rat out your followers. (→ #26)
  • 1: You're going to come with me and not make a fuss, you hear me? (→ #12)

(#26) Prince Pietro: Never. I won't let those who pledged their loyalty to me die for nothing. It's the least I can do for those who came this far for me. I may just be a murderer to you, but I have principles. I’d rather die than betray them. (→ #27)

(#27) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: You're going to come with me and not make a fuss, you hear me? (→ #12)
  • 1: I hope they feed you to the assassin bugs out there. (→ #12)
  • 2: You're lucky you're worth more alive. I'd kill you myself. (→ #12)

(#28) Prince Pietro: Never. I won't let those who pledged their loyalty to me die for nothing. It's the least I can do for those who came this far for me. I may just be a murderer to you, but I have principles. I’d rather die than betray them. (→ #29)

(#29) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: Why would you do this? (→ #30)
  • 1: You're going to come with me and not make a fuss, you hear me? (→ #12)

(#30) Prince Pietro: My parents have grown soft. Old Levant is an existential threat to us, and still they want to welcome their people to join us! And they still treat the Blue Chamber Collective like equals! We were not elected by simple humans, we were anointed kings and queens by a GOD! (→ #31)

(#31) Prince Pietro: My brother was too nosy, he would have found out about my plot to kill Calixa and Simeon eventually. And I needed to be secure in the knowledge that I would be the only true heir to Levant's throne. It was nothing personal. (→ #27)
