Arcane Machine is a Minor Quest in Outward that begins in the Electric Lab in Abrassar.

Walkthrough[]

  1. To begin the quest, first solve the elevator lever puzzle in the Electric Lab to gain access to a large glowing purple orb at the top of the Electric Lab.
  2. Interact with the orb to initiate the quest. You will discover that the orb is part of a battered Arcane Machine. You learn that the Arcane Machine still has power but something just outside is interfering with its magical field.
  3. Take the exit at the opposite end of the hallway. This leads to a large exterior courtyard on a plateau that is unreachable except from this path.
  4. You must defeat the three Sword Golems in the courtyard. Their strange magical headpieces are the cause of the interference that is disrupting the Arcane Machine.
  5. After defeating the Sword Golem at the northwest end of the courtyard, take the opportunity to claim the Werlig Spear by pulling it out of the stone sitting on a nearby ledge.
  6. After defeating the last Sword Golem, return to the Arcane Machine inside the Electric Lab and interact with it to activate it.
  7. Upon activation, the player is informed of the following: "The machine activates, as the grinding of palladium gears indicates something has moved in the desert sand. Other, related, machines perhaps?".

Outcomes[]

When the Arcane Machine is activated, a number of altars throughout Abrassar will appear, each containing an Ornate Chest with randomized loot. The altar in the courtyard just outside of the Electric Lab also contains a Tsar Stone.
